The Somerset and Dorset Folk Diary (or SaDFolk) is based around a weekly email service, listing ‘folk’ events in Somerset and Dorset. The email is by far the easiest way to get the information (subscribe here), but all the information can also be found on this website. The term ‘event’ covers concerts, barn dances, sessions, workshops and any other folk related activity.
-
There is a full listing of all the events.
-
You can search the listings.
-
The weekly emails usually have an introductory section which contains updates to previously listed events, news of ‘regular events’ such as sessions which don’t get included in the main listings and other news items. These introductory sections are now repeated in the blog. The blog also has occasional items of more general interest; obviously still connected with the folk scene in the two counties.
