Acoustic at the Manor is run on a monthly basis, and our aim is to promote good music. The Club runs 2nd Thursday in every month. The Manor has an excellent Restaurant and does 'specials' for anyone coming to the club on the night which includes a free ticket for entry.

Bluegrass Session

Drax Arms, West Street, Bere Regis

In the Skittle Alley
The session will be held on the last Friday of the month It will be Bluegrass and other genres of American Music such as Old-Time, Country and Blues. It will not include English Folk and Irish. Sessions will start at 7pm and finish at 10pm, with a break in the middle for breath and refills.
The plan is to go around in a circle (or rectangle). Each singer/player will choose a song/tune, and give out keys and other helpful tips. The expectation is that everyone will join in, and those who can will contribute breaks.

We have three acts per night performing a range of styles and not necessarily folk. No walk in performers all acts are prebooked.
Refreshments are available form the pub bar but there is no food served.

Wimborne Folk Club

We meet every Thursday between 7.00 and 10.00
A normal evening would be around twenty performers although the record is 31 and sometimes it's in the mid teens. People perform in the order in which they arrive and everyone gets a two song spot in the first round and one in the second.

The Milverton Music Club

JOIN THE AUDIENCE or play and sing at Milverton Music Club on the First
Friday of every month from 8-00 till 11-30. Bring your own tipple apart from
guest nights when we always have a bar. Everyone who plays and sings uses the
excellent club PA : 4 mikes, 4 DI's, fold back, lights. Sound quality is
assured by our sound engineer on the mixing desk. We welcome musicians and
singers from six to sixty + and a wide range of musical styles. Enjoy playing
to a friendly and supportive audience.

Come early if you want to play, sing, or listen. We get very crowded. Phone

1st Sunday every month except August

Halsway Sunday Club at Halsway Manor in the Lounge bar at 8pm till 11pm.
Hosted by Deryck Deane and Roger Phipps, all performers are welcome to come and play, sing, read their poems or recitations or just sit and enjoy the beer.
We usually have a social break in the middle and go round the circle twice, depending on numbers attending. (ave attendance 27)
