A friendly mixed-sex team dancing in the Cotswold Morris style. Our members are from south east Dorst (and a little bit of Hampshire). We practice in Wimborne at the Coach & Horses Skittle Alley BH21 1QB on Thursday evenings from 8 pm, October to April. All welcome to come and have a try.
Dance Cotswold Morris. We practise from October to April at the Hunter's Lodge, Priddy (near Wells) on Monday evenings. During the dancing season from 1 May we dance out so there is no practice.
Chalice have been dancing for about 26 years now. Presently we consist of 5 musicians and about 15 dancers. During the winter months we practice every Thursday evening from 8.00pm until 10.00pm at the Village Hall in Brent Knoll just off the A38. Most of our dances are Cotswold Morris but we do occasionally venture into Border Morris. New recruits are always welcome, so if you live anywhere near Brent Knoll (near Burnham-on-Sea in Somerset) then why not pop along.! In the winter meet every Wednesday to practice. We rehearse to a lovely live band and we’d love some more of those too. At the moment all the male members of the band are called Dave but it is not necessary and we’d love some more ladies in the band too. We have a good range of ages in the dancers too. It is good fun and very friendly. We meet at 8pm on Wednesday nights at the URC in Wareham opposite the back entrance to Sainsburys which provides us with lots of parking. We are in the left hand hall when you go in. to not long after 9 pm. Wednesdays in the summer we are out and about dancing in local pubs

Festus Derriman is a mixed fun loving Morris team and we would like to welcome new members to join us. We will teach you all you need to know so when you are ready you can dance out with the team In 2008. We practice every Wednesday night in Upwey village hall at 8pm. We have been in existence since early 80?s and we dance from May Day through until September at different venues, Town Squares, Pubs, Fetes, Folk Festivals and any special occasions — you name it we want to do it.

Practices are every Thursday 7.30-9.30pm and everyone is welcome to come and dance or play. No experience required, all dances and tunes will be taught by experienced workshop leaders. Founded in 1956 as “Mendip Morris Men” we are now open to all. We perform Morris Dance around the North Somerset and Mendip areas. Our repertoire is predominantly in the Cotswold style, but also includes a Border dance or two. In the winter months we practice on Monday evenings, 8 – 10 pm at the War Memorial Hall in Congresbury. On summer Thursday evenings we perform at pubs or iconic locations, often in the company of our neighbouring Morris dance teams. We have a long history of travel to foreign events throughout Europe, as well as attendance at shows and festivals around Britain. Full details and our programme of dance-outs are on our website.
Appalachian Dance. We are a well established mixed side who perform self penned dances as well as some freestyling. We practise at the Marian Hall in Yeovil on Tuesdays from 7:30-10:00 pm and would welcome new members to join our practice season during the winter, before performances start in May. We are also keen to hear from musicians who may like to be regularly involved in playing for the dancing. Their dances originate mainly from Cheshire and Lancashire plus some garland dances and some they have arranged themselves. Somerstep is group of dancers and musicians based in Crewkerne, Somerset. We aim to encourage social dancing and step dancing at informal occasions. We learn step dances and social dances, mostly from the south-west. We practice in the King Willam pub, Barn St, Crewkerne from 8.00 most Thursdays, but it's always worth contacting us before coming along.
A new longsword team, welcome both dancers and musicians. Dancers, try something new as you weave over and under swords. Musicians, try the challenge of a dance where the pace can vary between figures and you have to respond to the speed of the dancers. We meet on Monday evenings in Corfe Mullen Library, BH21 3LE, from 7:30 to 9:30. Longsword is a traditional dance from Yorkshire, rarely seen in the south of England. Steps In Time are a junior folk dance side. We meet every Friday in Sutton Waldron, near Shaftesbury, Dorset. We do Playford, step and Dorset dances. Our dancers are aged between 4 and 15 at present.
We meet every Monday night throughout the winter at Trinity Church Hall, Taunton at 8.00pm. and from Easter onwards we dance in local villages, at fetes and Folk Festivals. All are welcome to join as musicians although dancers are ladies only. Our repertoire includes North West Team dances, Clog stepping, and a collection of dances from around the British Isles which we call 'soft shoe' dances.

Wyld Morris is a mixed Cotswold side which made its first public performance on 1 May 2011 - which means we've been celebrating our 10th anniversary during 2021.
