the beer is (amazingly) cheap and the acoustics are good. There are some good singers/instrumenalists and a genuinely collegiate atmosphere! i.e. everyone is welcome amd newcomers are encouraged.

Dances are drawn mostly from the folk traditions of Britain, Israel, the Balkans and other "World Music", often to very beautiful music. They may be symbolic or frivolous, vigorous or meditative, exciting or soothing - or just plain fun! Some are active and powerful, others are very gentle and inward looking.
Dancing is in the form of a circle so no partner is required. All dances are led by an experienced teacher so no prior skill is needed either.
Everyone is welcome - any age, any sex, any dance experience or none.
